ONLINE HOME-STUDY PROGRAM

Yoga Anatomy Online

We offer online yoga anatomy courses for yoga teachers and other movement professionals in the New York City area seeking an in-depth education in functional anatomy, biomechanics and injury prevention.

Students in the online series receive:
  • lifetime access to 100+ hours of high quality video lectures
  • downloadable presentations slides
  • open-book quizzes
  • an online student forum

The online yoga anatomy series is led by Jason Ray Brown, a clinical massage therapist, seasoned yoga teacher and functional anatomy educator.

Our signature yoga anatomy series (the "ASFYT Series") is a comprehensive training that covers the skeletal and muscular systems, common injuries, biomechanics, and the kinesiology of yoga asana. The series consists of 100+ hours of video lectures, demonstration videos from the live classes, comprehensive lecture notes, and reading assignments from the required books. While the series goes super deep into the subject matter, no prior background in anatomy is required as we start with the basics and gradually build.
"This has been the most beneficial course I have ever done. I now feel confident in working with clients who have injuries, and have a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of the body as a whole. Jason provides ongoing support during and after graduation in discussion forums, answering questions quickly and throughly. I highly recommend this course for anyone in the movement industry; it will be a game changer for your teaching and your skill set."

"I was thrilled to come across the ASFYT home-study program. It allowed me to access all of the material online, including lecture notes, presentation slides, and audio/video presentations of the classes taking place in NYC. Jason was always available for questions and the format allowed for plenty of flexibility to complete quizzes and exams even with my unpredictable work schedule.  Jason is one of the most knowledgeable, friendly, down to earth and patient teachers I’ve ever studied with. It was truly a gift to find him and participate in the program."
